Davao's New Bucana Bridge Set to Open on December 15

Davao City, Mindanao — Good news for Davao commuters: The Bucana Bridge, a crucial component of the Davao City Coastal Road, is scheduled to open to traffic on December 15. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. made the announcement during his inspection of the structure on Thursday morning.

The President highlighted the bridge's significant impact, noting that the 1.4-kilometer structure crossing the Davao River will dramatically decrease travel time for thousands of motorists.

During the inspection, President Marcos praised the project's quality and swift construction, specifically thanking the Chinese contractor for utilizing modern technology. He was accompanied by several officials, including Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon and Mindanao Development Authority Secretary Leo Magno.
